Omegafriends Background: The Teen Titans, Heroes of Jump City. A well known, and well balanced group of likeminded heroes who though they came together for different reasons, all have the same goal. To protect the innocent. However there is only so much you can grow while stuck in the same spot, with the same people day after day, no matter how much you love them, and no matter how good they are for you. So once the Titans had returned to Jump City (Following the last episode in the series) Beastboy decided to look towards the future, and take the first step towards growing as a person. He left the Titans (the parting was Amicable), the problem was he still wanted to be a hero. It was that grand desire that brought him to Venture City.
Beast Boy has been in Venture City for the last two years. and with his good natured humour, and fun loving attitude he has taken to being a hero in a city where he could be anything he wanted to be. He's quite taken with the people of Venture City, and their quirky nature towards his Superhero antics. He's taken advantage of the fact that people seem to blindly recognize him based solely on his 'superhero outfit' and so has several disguises he wears while tackling the supervillainous problems that confront the city. Some days he is Beast Boy, dressed in his well worn Doom Patrol outfit. Then there are others where he is known as the Masked Vigilante 'Zero' wearing a simple black battle outfit, with a mask and cloak. These are tributes to his good friends Robin, and Raven.
When not performing his sworn duty, he is ferfishly trying to come up with costume ideas for new identities. He's actually got two in the works now, one to honour his former Titan's teammate Cyborg, and another one for Starfire.
One last note, Beastboy is currently not associated with the Titans, and actually currently has no idea any other Titans are in the city.
Personality: Being the youngest of the Titans, Beast Boy was easily the most immature of the group. He liked to play jokes on people, he liked to make jokes around people, he liked to practice jokes when he was alone. In case it was hard to tell, Beast Boy really liked being funny. In fact, it was easily his strongest defense mechanism. He dealt with everything from an off-day, to betrayal in the same way. Be funny enough that it stops hurting.
Despite his penchant for the hilarious, Beast Boy has shown that he was capable of being serious. In fact, if pushed into a corner he's shown himself to be a capable leader. Easily taking charge of a situation, and using his innate charm to keep the group together.
Owing to the fact that he has easily transformed into one of every animal a person normally consumes, Beast Boy is a tried and true Vegan. In fact, one of his more annoying traits (According to his teammates) was the fact that he continually tried to push his diet on others. The saddest part is he hardly realizes how pushy he is when it comes to that. He sincerely finds Tofu delicious, and thinks everyone should try it all the time. Heck, they even have meat flavoured Tofu! WHY DOES ANYONE EVER EAT ANIMALS ANYMORE!?
He also happens to be into sports, and is quite competitive. To the point of not being above using his powers for the sake of victory. Usually he's very easy going, but when it comes to the concept of winning he's willing to quite literally steamroll the competition to obtain victory. He will lay waste to those who stand in his way, and in typical teenager style he will gloat about his victory afterwards. Constantly. In fact, it was a toss up to whether he was a sorer loser than a winner, or the other way around.
When Beast Boy left the Teen Titans he was a laid back, fun loving individual. He was barely capable of taking anything seriously, and most days if not for the constant Supervillain hijinx he was quite happy mowing down on a Tofu Pizza and schooling his friends in whatever video game they were foolish enough to put down in front of him.
His arrival in Venture City changed him. Having been a part of a group for so long, he decided to do the solo thing. And while he embraced the role whole heartedly, even developing a keener sense of humour during combat, he became distant.
Constantly working alone has taken a toll on Beast Boy, there are times when without his friends nearby to comfort him he falls into a fit of depression. There are times he has laser like focus, and yet some days, no matter how hard he tries there are days where he can barely force himself to do his job.
The biggest change in his personality, is the fact that he wonders what Superheroes are even for anymore. Venture City was nothing like Jump City, he wasn't the king of the playground anymore. He was one Hero among dozens. What would it matter if he quit? Or became a Villain himself. Look two blocks, and you could find his replacement.
While these dark thoughts inhabit his mind some days, he tries his best to fight them off himself. Yet the longer he stays alone, the harder he's finding it to cope. For now he manages by throwing himself into the Hero gig, and trying to find enjoyment in it whenever he can, even if he has to make it himself one corny joke at a time.
Powers: No power differences from his normal Canon. All power descriptions are posted in the Wiki link provided for the character background.
When out on the prowl as one of his alter egos, Beast Boy likes to pretend to have a special weakness. After all, the great Heroes all had weaknesses. Look at Superman! He was weak to some special space rock, and he was the strongest hero ever! So when out as his Alter...Alter-ego 'Zero' he pretends that he can only transform by calling out the name of the Animal he wilk transform into, and once stripped of his voice he becomes powerless
